银杏天鹅湖拥有近1500亩水域，始建之初，从“生态”角度，打造“水下森林”，通过构建完善的水生态系统，重焕水域生机。现园内湖水蔚蓝见底，晴空万里时，水天一色，夕阳西下时，浮起层层金光，黑天鹅们在湖面自由嬉戏，时有游客泛舟戏水，或静坐湖畔，俨然一幅恬静悠然的生活画卷。
通过渔民上岸、退塘还湖、生态清淤、湿地修复等举措，对水生态净化系统的设计和构建，形成多层次的水生生物系统，天鹅湖从劣V类蝶变为Ⅱ类水，不仅使“水在城中，绿在城中”的湿地美景得以重现，更成为了动植物繁衍的乐土。园区内拥有维管束植物220种，其中国家二级保护植物2种，除了园区里饲养的梅花鹿、黑天鹅等动物外，另有不请自来的如白鹭、黑水鸡等栖息物种194种，其中属于国家二级重点保护野生动物就有6种。

Through fishermen’s landing, returning ponds to lakes, ecological dredging, and wetland restoration, the design and construction of water ecological purification systems have formed a multi-level aquatic biological system. Swan Lake has changed from inferior Category V butterfly to Category II water. The wetland beauty of "water in the city, green in the city" can be reproduced, and it has become a paradise for the reproduction of plants and animals. There are 220 species of vascular plants in the park, of which 2 are national second-level protected plants. In addition to the sika deer and black swan raised in the park, there are also 194 uninvited habitat species such as egrets and black water chickens. Among them, there are 6 species of wild animals that belong to the national secondary key protection.
